Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia (DOSM) sedang menjalankan Survei Khas 'Kesan Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) kepada Ekonomi dan Individu'-Pusingan 1. 🛑  Terbuka kepada semua penduduk Malaysia yang berumur 15 tahun ke atas 🛑  Pusingan 1 bermula 23 Mac 2020 hingga 31 Mac 2020 🛑  Maklumat yang dikumpulkan melalui survei ini tertakluk kepada peruntukan di bawah Akta Perangkaan 1965 (Disemak 1989) di mana  maklumat yang diterima adalah SULIT dan hanya digunakan bagi tujuan perangkaan. 🛑  Dapatan kajian akan digunakan sebagai input kepada Kerajaan Malaysia untuk mengukur kesan COVID-19 kepada ekonomi dan individu di Malaysia. Index Of Industrial Production and Monthly Manufacturing Statistics Malaysia January 2020 were published on 13 March 2020.  Malaysia’s Industrial Production Index (IPI) grew by 0.6 per cent in January 2020 The Industrial Production Index (IPI) grew by 0.6 per cent in January 2020 as compared with the same month of the previous year. The growth in January 2020 was driven by the increase in the index of Manufacturing ( 2.1% ). Meanwhile index of Mining and Electricity recorded a decline of 3.9 per cent and 0.01 per cent respectively. On year-on-year basis, the Manufacturing sector output rose by 2.1 per cent in January 2020 after recording a growth of 3.4 per cent in December 2019. The major sub-sectors contributing to the increase in January 2020 were Non-metallic Mineral Products, Basic Metal and Fabricated Metal Products ( 3.9% ), Petroleum, Chemical, Rubber and Plastic Products ( 3.6% ) and Electrical and Electronics Products ( 3.2% ).
